Swabian @ Big Boy Meats

Nathan has finally gotten some of the black swabian pork. And it's not outrageously expensive either. Scored some porkchops to grill this weekend ($8.99/lb). He also had pork belly, too. If I remember right, it was $5/lb. I would have gotten one, but my freezer is overflowing right now. Been stocking up in anticipation of the coming price increases in pork (viral diarrhea) and beef (harsh winter culled herds). Nathan said he's already seeing price increases in pork and lamb, too.

I haven't been down there in a while. He moved across the aisle where the hot sauce folks were. And, he's gotten a glass butcher case, so you can see the products now.

Was down there again today. Nathan was unloading stuff for the weekend. He now has swabian baby back ribs!!! A pack came home with me today. He also had brats made from the black pigs, too. He says more stuff is coming soon!! Woo, Hoo!

I grilled my swabian pork loin chops and I swear by all things pig, the fat was better than the meat!!! This stuff is seriously tasty!!!

OMG!!!

Did the baby back ribs yesterday for dinner. Killer! Again, I swear that the fat is tastier than the meat - actually sweet!!
