insurance

Post by kjball »

I'm sure everyone saw this today, but wanted to make sure. We can insure the club for $3.50/member. I know when I was an officer, the issue was raised, but was a terrible deal. not sure if this is any better.

If we eventually want to move out from under Benz's umbrella for our festival, we will need this. Plus, we're taking advantage of Bricks and Lion's Bridge hosting our meetings right now. For less than $200 a year, we can cover the club and our hosts. I think the Cabinet should give this serious thought and bring it up for a member vote at the August meeting to be able to react by the September 1st deadline for enrolling.

Probably money well spent. Better to be safe than sorry!

Seems like a good idea. Not bad price as it is covered by just under 12% of the total annual dues of $30.

Note full year enrollment ends Sept 1st. But they will have quarterly, prorated fees after that. Only question :is it effective immediately on Sept 1, or it for January starting coverage? Board may have to move quickly after Wednesday's meeting.

OK. West Insurance FAQs states policy is 9/1/14 to 9/1/15. So it will be almost an immediate start, given the deadline and we will have the coverage for the fall's Festival.
