Independence brew and bbq

Post by whitedj »

August 23 2014 arrive 2:00 to 2:30. Pouring starts at 3pm.
Let's start a list of who is going and what they are bringing. Partial kegs and lighter fruity beers will likely be hits... we need 8 to 10 beers.

I'm there. Have a chile pepper infused IPA in the works for it. I'm calling it - Godzirra (a play on the fire breathing dragon and the real name of the beer is Gojira.)

I'll be there...I guess that was a given?...anyway, got a sour cherry ale and a cider. "Cherry Bomb" and "In-Cider Trading". I guess. Beer names can be really off the wall and fun, huh?! I'll also bring two growlers, one "Moronic Waste of Liver!" strong scotch ale and "Siberian Mermaid" Russian Imperial Stout with rum barrel oak aging.

I won't be able to make it this year. I've grown to like this fest for all the unique individuals who attend!

I will be there as well. I'm planning on bringing a Mandarin Orange Wit.

Anyone else coming? Even if you do not bring beer, if you're willing to pour for a while you are more than welcome with the beer nuts group.

Jim Potts, you're bringing the club box and other equipment (whiteboard and markers, etc.)? What time are you planning on setting up? Do we need anything else?

Randy, I was unable to use the signup.

Jim Fuller, sorry you'll be unable to make it. Since Indee is my hometown, I enjoy the fact that the town has this festival. The Riverside Park is a great venue, and while the crowd isn't very sophisticated as beer drinkers, they are fun. It always surprises me how few people I know (with the exception of a couple of years where class reunions brought in a lot of familiar faces, hopefully my class will do this sometime).
