Cedar Rapids Brewing Society

The Cedar Rapids Beer Nuts Home Brew Club will be hosting a home brewing festival Saturday, September 27th from 1:00-5:00 PM at Benz Beverage Depot 501 7th Ave SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401. Home brewing clubs from around the state will be traveling to Cedar Rapids to serve their one-of-a-kind beers to the public.

In addition to beer sampling, there will be live music, food vendors, soda sampling, and educational presentations. This is a very unique event in which home brewed beer is spotlighted. No commercial breweries will be in serving. This is one of only a handful of home brew-only festivals to be held in the United States. Admission is $20 in advance or $25 at the gate. Attention homebrewers! If you would like to pour your beer at this event, whether or not you are in a club, please contact us at info@crbeernuts.org. We will have spots available for independent brewers. Clubs are also encouraged to participate, just let us know you'd like to attend.

If you are a member of a club, or an independent brewer and have poured your beer at previous year's festivals, you can log into our festival web page and enter the beers you intend to bring. If you have never poured beer at one of our festivals you can create new account. The link to enter beers is here: http://crbeernuts.herokuapp.com. I posted the event on Reddit. The only reply was that the psa on the radio didn't mention the fest location. Any way this can be updated?

I'll check into it on Monday. I imagine it was deliberate, either as a way to get it under a certain time, or because Benz is a commercial estabishment and can;t be in a PSA?

Right now it's a Web app. Phone apps may come at some point but not likely in time for this fest.

I noted when entering a soda that the beer entry page doesn't have a soda / NA category. I put it under Specialty Beer for now.

Also no option for cider.
