Beer Nuts family picnic at Daryl's

I noticed this is not on the forum anywhere, and wanted to make sure folks know about it. Daryl has invited us to Springville, to have a picnic at his place. This is a family event, as I understand it. Which is something we haven't done in a while, and is due. I'll let Daryl fill in the details. I am assuming pot luck style.

Thanks Tim.
Marilyn and I are happy to host and invite you all to our acreage for a Beernuts Fall Family Picnic.
We live on the South East corner of Springville Road and County Home Road; our driveway is off of Springville Road.
I will post a map soon.
The club is holding it's annual BBQ competition, so come ready to judge some fabulous ribs...bring an entrée or a side dish to share, some homebrew or commercial brew, and yard game if you like....I am sure the club will make sure no one goes thirsty.
This is a family event, so bring the kids....there are paths to walk and a creek for the kids to explore (complete with a snapping turtle), friendly outdoor cats (Spaz is our tripod cat), and our 15-year old beagle (Allie); and there will be plenty of wood for the fire pit.
We hope you will be able to make it.
If you have questions or need to phone a friend if you get lost...our home phone is 854-6983.

Saturday, October 11, starting at 1 PM.
I will leave the details of the BBQ competition and samplings to Steven or others to decide the timeline for that.

This year's BBQ Cook-off/Throw-down is RIBS. The animal that they come off of is entirely your choice - swine, bovine, bison, emu, whatever. No Hannibal Lecter entries, please!!
But, we would like to know who is planning an entry? We need to know so we have enough chafing dishes ready to keep your meat warm (insert favorite off-color joke here!)
Entrants will be serving 1 rib per person (Remember, this is a tasting/competition). So, plan on 15 -20 servings.
Voting will be blind, just like judging beers. Each entry will be numbered and you'll drop your voting ticket in a numbered cup for your favorite. Most votes win!

So far, that should be plenty if we're using 1/2 pan inserts. If we need more, I can bring my 2.
