Cedar Rapids Brewing Society

November meeting is going to be held on Thursday November 20th at the Long Branch hotel. The club has one of the conference rooms in the basement of the hotel lobby, there will be a sign in the hotel lobby for us.

This is different than the typical monthly meetings in the following ways:
1- The main business of this meeting is officer elections. Guests may come; however, they will be asked to step outside for a couple minutes as the business is conducted.
2- This is being held in a private location so home brew in addition to commercial beers are allowed to be consumed during the meeting, bring your favorite or something special to share!

Being part of the cabinet does require some additional work and is a great way to become more involved with and leave your mark on the club, if your thinking about I'd suggest to run.

Eligibility:
Any person who has been a paid member for at least six (6) months and is in good standing with this Club may run for an elected office.

The elected officers of this Club will be: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Activities Director, and our new position of social media guru

By the way - if anyone wants to hold one of the cabinet positions, don't feel like a current cabinet member would take offense if you ran against one of us. We all love serving the club in these roles but would gladly step down if voted out.

Yes, for most of the board, it's about "someone has to do it for the club to work". Also, board meetings are not private. We just don't post dates because they tend to be last minute due to schedules. If you want to help out just let us know.

I would be honored to be president again, if you will have me. I accept any challenge in good spirit, and with the understanding that we all want to see the club succeed.
