Gifted Extract kit

So my boss at work decided he didn't have time to brew and gave me a partial mash extract kit and stated that it's a couple years old.
I need some advice here. Should I even bother with the kit at all or is there anything going to be salvageable?

Most of it is probably fine, especially the grains/DME/LME, depending on how it was stored. The hops might be stale if they weren't frozen. Not bad, just less flavor than fresher ones. I'd get some fresh ones and mix them in the batch. The yeast will be the "iffy" part; will need to have a starter, just to make sure it's OK. Or, if you don't want to put much effort into this brew, punt on the old yeast and use fresh.

Come on, go for it. I'd call it "Free Beer!"

Roll with it and I agree with Tony 100%. If it sucks call it a Busch Light clone and hand it out to friends.

It was free. If it's not any good, which I suspect it's not going to be. I will use it for cooking

I concur with Tony; I would add to or replace the Hops and replace Yeast.

The specialty grains may not be at their peak, but will add flavor to the DME and LME. The DME and LME should be find unless they are ancient.

Good luck.
