Beer Nuts Super Bowl Get Together
Posted: Tue Dec 30, 2014 9:37 am
Dan and I have kicked around this idea before and during the Christmas party; he suggested we get this posted to get the discussion started.....
This season's Super Bowl will be on Sunday, February 1, 2015, kickoff at 5:30 PM CST / 6:30 PM EST.
Would any of you like to get together at a public venue to watch the game and enjoy some good beers and food?
If so, we have options:
1) I visited with Danny at Big Grove in early December; and he said the Big Grove is really slow on Super Bowl Sunday and would be happy to host us. We could bring beer to share. You all know BG (in Solon) and know they have decent food and offer a good variety of beers. They would be open for us to bring beer to share like we do at Bricks and Lion Bridge; and I think he might throw in an incentive or two for us to come.
2) Haven't talked with Quinton, but I am sure he would give us a space at Lion Bridge; I do not know if he can show the game on his big screen. It is on the network, so I am relatively sure there would be no license/copyright issues - but I would need to check with him.
Brick's or Third Base - but since these venues are sport's bars...but I could see that they could be pretty crowded that day.
Either way, I do not think we have to have a big crowd, anywhere in the 6-10 range is a GO in my mind.
Reply only if you would consider participating, so we can gauge the level of interest.
