Hops Question

I am looking at making a very "dank" beer, Nouveau Riche was really good, and I really liked Stone's drink by 4/20/14 beer. I was hoping that some of you hop-heads would be able to give me some recommendations. I have been reading and have seen suggestions about Mosaic, Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial and CTZ hops. I have no personal experience with any of these hops. Also, if there are hops that fit that category, that are not in the list, feel free to list them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For dank go CTZ, i use a lot of Columbus. Apollo is really dank. Simcoe works well with dank. Add some citra and/or Amarillo to round it out with some citrus and orange.

I have like a pound of CTZ I got last summer if you want some. One of the CRAZE brewers was handing it out. He bought way too much and handed me a big bag. I'll try a nice pale ale with it but don't need that much. Anybody welcome to it. I can put it in 1oz ziplock and bring to next meeting as well. I love the CTZ or Centennial for bittering and a small aroma addition and Simcoe and Amarillo for the late kettle and dry hop additions. Go a little heavier on Amarillo than Simcoe to avoid the cat piss type flavor some people get. I target 1.5 Amarillo to 1 of Simcoe ratio.

I would love to snag one of those from you. I will be at the next meeting for sure!

I like doing Pales and wouldn't mind an ounce to try on my next batch.

I got a pound of CTZ from him too. He said it was Tomahawk but I think they are just lumped into the CTZ category.

Can confirm it qualifies as "dank and resiny".

That's what I love in a pale, the dankier the better. ;-)

Any thoughts on using CTZ for dry hopping?

Do it. It is in the Pliney dry hops. Have done it many times.
