Surly Invades Eastern Iowa March 7th

Surly Brewing is Coming to Iowa!
March 7th

Surly Brewing out of Brooklyn Center, MN is finally having their highly anticipated Iowa release! They are going to kick off their Eastern Iowa release with a pub crawl in the corridor area!

The Surly crew will be making there way to 30 Hop at 11:30 am, then Iowa Chop House at 1:30 pm, then Joe's place at 3:00, Sanctuary at 4:30, and will be finishing their evening here at Reds at 6:30. The end of the crawl is highlighted by a tapping the only keg of Surly Barrel Aged Darkness in Eastern Iowa.

Tapping will commence at 6:30ish, whenever the guys make their way to us. The party starts and finishes with them! Make sure you are on hand for this very special tapping and a chance to get some Surly gear from head brewer Todd Haug and crew!

I don't know for sure yet but I plan to try to make it down to Red's before 6:30 to get in on the Darkness! Probably head down before 6 to get a two for one and hang out for the tapping. Head home after that.

Furious is on the shelf at Edgewood Rd HyVee (Bender, too).

Would love to hit the Darkness, but have another commitment Saturday evening.

Yeah would love to go to the Darkness tasting but have something that night as well. Oakland and Marion Hyvee both have, furious, bender, coffee bender, over-rated and cynic on the shelf. I saw a that Doomtree was on the shelf at a Hyvee in the Des Monies area. I'm guessing it will show up around here soon.

Very good time. The Surly folks were very nice, even after a long day. Spoke with the head brewer Todd for a while. Very cool dude. Try some Todd the Ax Man. Nice IPA!
