Looks like Benz is going to have a tasting this thursday, its $10 and they request pre-registration. Anybody planning on going, I have yet to decide, will probably make up my mind this weekend.

Probably won't make it - Goose Island makes some good beers, but they may not bring the best ones, particularly if they can't be purchased in Iowa. The couple of Brau Bros beers I've had were OK but nothing special, so I think I'll save my $10 to buy good beer. Thanks for the heads up though. Always good to be notified of beer events.

I'm not going to make it either, mostly due to a schedule conflict.

I can't be there due to parent teacher conferences.

It was another fun time at Benz last night. I enjoyed talking to the Brewer for Brau Brothers. Nice guy. Maybe we'll have to do a road trip to Minnesota breweries some time, too!

A couple of things - actually got to give out one of the group's cards to someone. He was definitely into good beers and eventually wants to learn to brew. We'll just keep our fingers crossed to see if we snagged a live one?

Also learned from the Goose Island rep that Jiamen is only one of four places in IA that has Matilda on tap!! I just might be stopping on my way home tonight to have a pint!

Lastly, bad news if you don't have tix to Millstream's fest this Saturday - sold out both at the brewery and at Benz. We didn't get tix.
