I'd get rid of those west coast hops! That's just me though. Looks like a good recipe. Enjoy!

Looks good. Did you start plucked form air or is this based off another recipe? I really like Centennials. I am a little hoppy and would even add more hops between 20 and 0 minutes.

I took a recipe for a pale ale that I made once. I jacked up the malt, and had to completely substitute hops, because I didn't have any of the original hops. So, it is loosely based on my dead show pale ale, which was the winner in the pale ale category at the state fair 2006.

You might be able to get away with using a hop with similar Alpha instead of the Centennial if you are looking to save a few bucks; 80 minutes will kill off that delicious West Coast flavor. Or take Matt's advice and use something else at 80 and drop in the Centennials at 2 minutes.

Cool, I am looking forward to it. Will it be called encore? My next beer is a Pale Ale followed up by an IPA and whatever we choose for the June competition. Sounds like IPA may be a good June competition.

Go over the top and use Summit (17 - 19% alpha acids) :o

They also have a nice orange/tangerine component to them, unlike the grapefruit of cascades (otherwise known as cat pee to some in the group - .
