I've got a Red Wheat in the primary right now, which I hope to have ready for the June meeting (I'm going to miss May's meeting). It's a mini-mash kit from Austin Brewing: 3.25# grain (Crystal, German Pilsner, Carawheat, Rye and Red Wheat) and 5# wheat extract with 1 oz Cluster (60 min), 0.5 oz Sterling (15 min) and 0.5 Sterling (5 min).
However, I'm thinking that I might split off a portion (1 gal) and put it on fruit in the secondary to enter in the competition. Question is - what fruit?
Leaning toward sour cherries - thoughts?

First, the weizenbock sounds very good. Can't wait to taste it on Sat. I'm sure we'll all be pretty happy by breakfast with all the beer we'll have early in the morning.
Tony, cherries sound perfect for this beer. Or wait, maybe prunes, yeah, that would be perfect.....after all, I'll have a beer going up against yours in the competition!

Sorry, we'll have to flog the secretary on Saturday for not posting any meeting minutes. We decided the next four quarters of competition beers. They are:
June: Fruit beers
Sept: IPA
Nov/Dec: Baltic Porter
Mar 2010: Pyment (mead made with grapes)
I left my notes at Dave's so need to get them to give you the sub category for the IPA but I think it was American IPA.
