Munich Helles Judging - Call for Judges
This is the call for judges, to judge the submissions for the Munich Helles competition.
Location is TBD - but will likely be Turner Alley or Lion Bridge.
Tentative dates: Thursday, May 5 OR Thursday, May 12; we can start at 7 PM.
We can get by with 4-judges, but six is much better.
Please post if you can judge on one or both of these dates.

Re: Munich Helles Judging - Call for Judges
I can probably do either, but 12-May is more likely to work.
Re: Munich Helles Judging - Call for Judges
I'm participating in the comp, so not sure I can be a judge, but I'm willing to steward, if needed.
If I'm allowed to judge, I'll gladly do that...and either date should work for me.

Re: Munich Helles Judging - Call for Judges
Correct, you will not be able to judge, but I will be needing one or two individuals to stewart - that will free me up to judge (I am not competing this month).
Thanks Pat.
Thanks Pat.

Might not be a good idea to do it during craft beer week...which is this next week
Re: Munich Helles Judging - Call for Judges
I'm available if you need another judge. Either night works for me.

Re: Munich Helles Judging - Call for Judges
Sorry, working both days. I can do it in a couple weeks
Re: Munich Helles Judging - Call for Judges
I would be able to next Thursday but we have our cabinet meeting.

Re: Munich Helles Judging - Call for Judges
It looks like the Cabinet meeting is next Thursday. Let's try a different day.
How does Wednesday, May 11th at 8 PM work? Location TBD.
Lee and Tony - would you both still be available tp judge? Pat M. would you be available to steward?
Can anyone else join us on Wednesday to judge?

Re: Munich Helles Judging - Call for Judges
I am working everyday during craft beer week. Otherwise I would be glad to help!
Re: Munich Helles Judging - Call for Judges
Sorry, Daryl, but I can't do the 11th. I have a ticket to the New Belgium beer dinner at Zeppelins.

Re: Munich Helles Judging - Call for Judges
Sorry gents, but getting this judging completed has had its challenges. And unfortunately, we will not have this completed by the Membership meeting.
So here are the next available dates:
Sunday, May 22nd, 4 PM
Wednesday, May 25th, 7 PM
Thursday, May 26th, 7 PM
If you are available to judge on any of these dates, please post your availability here.
If you have not judged, but would like to learn; I think the Munich Helles would be a good one for a beginning....at least in the detection of flaws. It is harder to delineate the subtle differences in the expected traits...this style would be a good start for you. PM if you have questions.
