Rivers Edge Homebrew Festiv-Ale - Rock Island IL - July 16th

Post by daryl »

The date has been sent for Rivers Edge Homebrew Festiv-Ale!

Our friends of the Rivers Edge Fermentation Society (REFS) and members of Mississippi Unquenchable Grail Zymurgists (MUGZ) are holding their beer festival on Saturday, July 16th from 2PM-6PM.

We supported this festival quite well last year, and we would like to do so again this year. And, it is important we have a good showing, REFS and MUGZ have been very loyal supporters of our Beer Festival - and it is good that we try to pay them back in-kind as best we can.

AND....this was a lot fun last year.

So, we are looking for donations of beer in kegs or growlers or bottles. And a team of volunteers to go to Rock Island to set-up, pour, tear-down, pack-up, and clean-up; and take in the festival.

We are limited to a maximum of 10 workers, but if we have one or two more, I am sure we can work something out.

I'm going; and I will bring at least 2 beers.

What about you?

We will make travel arrangements sometime in June, after we assess how many beers we are pouring and people attending.

The event details as I know them at this time is as follows:

Event Info Below.

Count me in to go down and pour. I had a great time last year!

Don't know what beers I'll be bringing, but I'll figure something out in the next couple of weeks. There's always leftover Disasters!

July 16th is quickly approaching.

You should be able to log your beer at the herokuapp too for the Rivers Edge Homebrew Festiv-Ale now.

Post here if you are willing to make the trek to Rock Island....it is a nice venue and a lot of fun. And the CR Beer Nuts has participated in everyone of them! Ok...both of them....including this year.

Sign up and we'll start making travel arrangements to support our friends a MUGZ, REFS, and the Powder Keggers.

I'm planning to attend. Should have my 2 Disasters to pour.

I will make arrangements to meet you guys there, as I will be out of town.

Unfortunately I cannot attend. I will send some beer with you though. I will register on our app closer to the event. I will be sending whatever is available which I do not know yet. Still actively drinking my supply.

I will add some beers for this event this week. Who would like to take my kegs for me? I could drop them off with Tony. You look like the nearest attendee to me. Probably send a double IPA and my Disaster Dark Hoppy Saison.

Sure, Matt. Only one thing, I'm heading out of town next Thursday, so we'll need to hook up between now and then. Holler at me.

Post on herokuapp

Post by daryl »

The Rivers Edge Festiv-Ale committee has requested our pour list.

I believe their intent is to produce a list the Beer Names, Styles, and maybe the Brewer's name and Club Affiliation in a handout or posting.

Thus far, we have seven beers/three brewers listed on the herokuapp.

Come Tuesday evening, I will give them what is listed, but I believe the list might be double what is posted.

And, I need to know if you are providing growlers or kegs, and if kegs are they ball-lock or pin-lock? You can relay this information to me by submitting a reply to this post.

Please post your brews tonight or tomorrow - http://crbeernuts.herokuapp.com/.

Thanks,
Daryl
