The club will host another Beer Nuts Happy Hour at Lion Bridge on Sunday, July 31st.

We will be pouring from 3 PM to 5 PM (or 6 PM or so...).

What is needed:

1) Volunteer workers; 2 minimum, 3-4 is better

2) Beer contributions; in bottles and/or growlers; kegs are acceptable but you will need to bring everything you need to dispense your beer - LB can provide with some ice and a tub or two to hold the bottles/growlers. We will pour for about two hours, and in 1 to 2 oz samples; so we will not need tons of beer; it is nice to offer 4-6+ varieties. And, if you like, we can go past 5 PM, but that will be up to the volunteers and I would cut it off no later than 6:00 PM - it is up to you.

You can volunteer to pour and not contribute beer; you can contribute beer and not attend (but please provide us with a description of your beer and/or recipe and any other information you think someone would be interested in knowing about your beer); we just need to coordinate the hand-off of the beer and the returns.

Please respond to this post, to volunteer your time and/or beer.

Let's meet at LB around 2:30 PM to set-up and be ready to go at 3 PM.

It has been suggested, and I agree, that one way to improve your brewing skills is to seek every opportunity that you can to pour and share your work with others. This is one of those opportunities provided by your club and we will strive to have at least one each month.

And remember, providing beer for this event will enter you in the year-end drawing for a $50 gift certificate from BIY.

As always, don't be shy to PM me with questions/concerns/suggestions.

Cheers,
Daryl

I will be there, just don't know if I'll have beer or not. Depends on how much I go through at Rivers Edge. Not sure if any of my Festival beers will be ready by then.

We are 20-days out from the July Beer Nuts Happy Hour at Lion Bridge.

I will not be able to attend, but Andrew Konigsmark has stepped up to take my place.

Andrew's Motto - "No Thirst Is Left Behind in July".

At this point, we do not have very much beer to pour, so if you can spare a growler or two of brews, that would go a long way in supporting us this month.

Please post here, so Andrew knows to expect you or can arrange to get your beer.

Thanks guys, I think this activity has been good for us and LB.

Cheers,
Daryl

I believe that I will not be able to attend, but can probably send a growler (or a couple bombers) of Centennial Blond if more beer is needed. Someone can PM me at it gets close if we are short at all on beer.

I can send a growler or two of Wit. And, perhaps some brown ale. I likely can attend, but that's still up in the air.

While today's event started out a bit slow - just me and Punkin', and the LBB crowd was small, things started to pick up after a while. Randy and Terry showed up with several good beers and Pat M and Jensen showed up with family & friends to get things going. Pimped the Festival and hopefully snagged some folks to attend. So another good day for Jimmy Carter.

Hey, a big thanks to Punkin for taking over this month and to all you guys who stepped up and supported this event.

It's good for LB and the Club, and I really appreciate it.
