July 31st - Beer Nuts Happy Hour at Lion Bridge Sign-up
Posted: Tue Jun 28, 2016 11:24 am
The club will host another Beer Nuts Happy Hour at Lion Bridge on Sunday, July 31st.
We will be pouring from 3 PM to 5 PM (or 6 PM or so...).
What is needed:
1) Volunteer workers; 2 minimum, 3-4 is better
2) Beer contributions; in bottles and/or growlers; kegs are acceptable but you will need to bring everything you need to dispense your beer - LB can provide with some ice and a tub or two to hold the bottles/growlers. We will pour for about two hours, and in 1 to 2 oz samples; so we will not need tons of beer; it is nice to offer 4-6+ varieties. And, if you like, we can go past 5 PM, but that will be up to the volunteers and I would cut it off no later than 6:00 PM - it is up to you.
You can volunteer to pour and not contribute beer; you can contribute beer and not attend (but please provide us with a description of your beer and/or recipe and any other information you think someone would be interested in knowing about your beer); we just need to coordinate the hand-off of the beer and the returns.
Please respond to this post, to volunteer your time and/or beer.
Let's meet at LB around 2:30 PM to set-up and be ready to go at 3 PM.
It has been suggested, and I agree, that one way to improve your brewing skills is to seek every opportunity that you can to pour and share your work with others. This is one of those opportunities provided by your club and we will strive to have at least one each month.
And remember, providing beer for this event will enter you in the year-end drawing for a $50 gift certificate from BIY.
As always, don't be shy to PM me with questions/concerns/suggestions.
Cheers,
Daryl
