Aug 27 - Independence BBQ and Brew - sponsored by our friends at CRAZE - informal, but a very enthusiastic crowd - another very fun event.

I have been contacted by our friends in Independence for a brew list. This will be one week after our Festival.

So, this is my first call to action for:

1) Volunteers to go and pour (I will get more details as to departure times, festival times, etc.) and

2) This is my first call for BEER.

Please post here what beer you have to spare...and whether it will be in kegs or bottles....and the sooner the better, as they are trying to pull together a pour list ASAP.

Thanks - Daryl

Might have to wait until after our kegs come back from saturday, before we know what beer we have on hand

I personally should be able to send a couple growlers of something or other, though, if people are going. (Baby due soon and it would not be appreciated if I were gone two saturdays in a row.)

I cannot go to this one either. But, I can send beer. I should have the same Hefeweizen, Belgian-style Wit and English Brown ales from our festival available. It would be in ball-lock kegs.

Generally speaking the crowd is largely BMC drinkers, so lighter, fruit beers are generally preferred among the crowd... although there are a handful of beer lovers there too.

I will be able to pour. I expect to have plenty of leftover beer from our Festival, so I'll have those 3 beers - Belgian Golden w/Green Tea, Citra IPA (session), and Dry Hopped Saison (Ron Mexico).

All five of my kegs for this weekend have 4 to 5 gallons of product in them. Any product left over can go to Independence. But I will not be able to make it up there on the 27th.

I can make it to this festival. I can bring several different beers in bottles. The only problem is that I might not be able to get there right when it starts. Their website shows the Craft Brew Zone runs from 3pm to 7pm. I made a commitment to help run my wife's craft booth at the Boom Fest in Vinton from 10am to 3pm. I might be able to get out of Vinton a little early but it might be 3:30 or 4 before I can get to Independence.

I will be unable to make out festival tomorrow...I have another commitment. I will be able to make it to Independence though, and I am bringing 2 saisons.

Saison Saaz - Saison - ABV 6.5%
Saison Sauvin - Saison - ABV 7%

They will want a beer list with names as early as possible next week so they can print their programs.

My kegs of Belgian Wit, Honey-Hefeweizen, and North English Brown are still at Benz. Descriptions have been posted to the Herokaupp for the Independence BBQ 2016 festival.

Can I drop the kegs later this week with someone who is going?
