104th IA Honey Producers Assoc Conference - with a Mead Comp

I just learned about this event...cost savings if you register by Monday.

I passed this along to Pat....note there is Mead sharing on Friday night!!!

If you were ever interested in learning about how to become a bee keeper...this would be a good place to start.

There are three mead categories:
Rules for Mead Judging Contest: - Supply at least two bottles of Mead - Mead will be judged on the rules of the State Fair - Mead will be judged on alcohol strength, sweetness, carbonation, temperature, taste, and presentation - Your name needs to be written on paper provided in the contest room Categories to be submitted will include: 1. Traditional Meads 2. Molemel (Fruit Meads) 3. Metheglyn (Spiced Meads) Bring extra bottles of Mead to share at the “Wine and Cheese” social hour Friday night.
You're welcome to register as well! It's a very fun, social meeting.
The annual meeting is only $30 for two days of awesome info on bees, etc.
In the Fridge/On Tap: English Bitter, Schwarzbier, Cream Ale
In the keg: Wheat Beer, Russian Imperial Stout
In the bucket:
