Tech Meeting #7 - Club Comp Judge Training - CANCELLED
Posted: Tue Nov 08, 2016 10:40 am
If you have be interested in learning how to judge for the Club's quarterly competitions, here is your chance.
We will cover some of the artifacts we use to judge the entries, including:
1) The BEER JUDGE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM 2015 STYLE GUIDELINES http://www.bjcp.org/docs/2015_Guidelines_Beer.pdf
2) Roles in the competition: Entrants, Stewards, Judges
3) Judging Forms
4) The judging process, calibration beers
5) Club Scoring
6) Sampling/judging session
And other information as I develop the materials.
We will start at 7 PM; with the sampling, I expect the process will take 90 mins...and I will cut if off at 2 hours. Location TBD - it will be either Another Road, IBC, or Lion Bridge.
I am thinking this coming Sunday, November 13th....so that we might recruit some new judges for the Baltic Porter Competition (to be judged next week).
Please respond to this post if you would like to attend either as one to be trained, or if you would like to participate as a mentor-attendee.
