So I did the 4x single-ish hop experiment that I posted about in Tech Corner. Just kegged them up yesterday, but they turned out pretty well. I'm not sure it warrants a tech meeting, but I think I will bring them to Happy Hour. The hops I tried this time are Amarillo, Galaxy, Mosaic, and Motueka. (I might try this again w/ some experimental hops.)

Recap of experiment: NEIPA profile (great help from tech meeting .ppt), magnum in boil, don't cool, drain to 4x corny keg fermenters, add "whirlpool" or "hop-stand" hops, and let stand. Cool, pitch, after a day or two, add dry hops. End w/ 4x 2.5 gallon brews, both hop charges were 2 oz each.

Sounds like I need to show up and try them all, Tom!

I will likely not have any beer to bring this time. Witbier is still fermenting away.

I will not be able to attend either. Chalkboards are in the trailer at Lee's.

I've got a couple of meowlers I pulled off before my kegs blew. Bitter and Vienna. I might also bring Stout.

Thanks for posting Josh....as per the usual

The club will host another Beer Nuts Happy Hour at Lion Bridge on Sunday, March 26th.

We will be pouring from 3 PM to 5 PM (or 6+ ish).

What is needed:

1) Volunteer workers; 2 minimum, but 3-4 would be good

2) Beer contributions; in bottles and/or growlers; kegs are acceptable but you will need to bring everything you need to dispense from your keg/kegs and containers/coolers to keep your brews cold- the club will provide a large bag of ice. We will pour for at least two hours, and in 2 oz samples; so we will not need tons of beer, but it is nice to have 4-6+ varieties that we could offer. And, if you like, we can go past 5 PM, but that will be up to the volunteers hosting the Happy Hour.

Let's meet at LB around 2:30 PM to set-up and be ready to go at 3 PM.

It has been suggested, and I agree, that one way to improve your brewing skills is to seek every opportunity that you can to pour and share your work with others. This one of those opportunities provided by your club and it is a lot of fun to serve beer with folks truly interested in craft beers.

Not sure if I will make it today. Last night my refrigerator died when power came back on. Then Cammy's car wouldn't start. Tackling these issues today. What is name of scratch and dent Appliance store in CR. Are they open on Sunday.

Car works, but still need to get a fridge. Won't make it today.

We started slow, but worked our way up to a pretty decent Happy Hour. We have a new (dues paying) member; you'll meet Scott at the April meeting.

Thanks to our March brewers: Tom Tapp, Randy Carris, Lee Paulson, and, me-self, Daryl McCall.....some really tasty beers were poured today.

We'll rack it up again in April....keep on brew'in!

Sorry I missed it. Nice work. Fixed the car and bought a fridge. Happy Hour would have been better.

I was at TCR for The Crucible. They have got to start doing plays less than 2:45 long.
