Great Taste 2017 Camping Plans

Hi Beer Nuts. Wanted to start a thread about camping for Great Taste 2017. Anybody have a site yet? For those new to the camping, here are some quick highlights.

--Many club members and friends camp on Friday night and Saturday night for Great Taste at Lake Farm Campground on the south side of Madison.
--Several members bring various small campers and rent sites. Folks with tents can usually just crash at one of these sites.
--We try to get all of our sites together so can have a party area without disturbing other campers.
--Friday night we go downtown and hit other various Great Taste Eve events. Uber is our friend to get downtown.
--Campground has easy access via bike trail to the fest. Some folks bike there and others Uber. $1 per person cab rides back to camp from the event.
--Google says bike ride is 2.8 miles 100% by bike trail which is awesome.
--After fest aon Saturday, we hang at camp cooking food and continuing to drink around the fire. Sometimes we end up in bed early, other times we dance around a fire until we pass out. Often a blend of those two. It is a great time. Decent showers and stuff at the campground too.

I am going up and camping that Friday and Saturday. My brother and I are sharing a pop-up camper.

I attached a map with the two main party areas. We have always camped along the tree line on the west side centered around #16. If 16 and 28 end up not in our crew we could try the 47-50 sites along with 41 and 44 that are still available. Pretty open and away from main campground over there. Or 10-15 still work. Hopefully we know the #16 and #28 folks and can work around that area still. Bugs may not be as bad on the east side area with any kind of breeze. It is not right by the swampy tree area that had us getting chewed up last year.

Currently sites 10, 12, 16, 29, 30, 51, 52 are reserved. Probably good idea to start booking what we want before ticket weekend.

You are surrounding the campground Host with that option Pottsie. Probably not a good idea. Last year we had 28, 15, 14 and others and not 16 and it still worked out OK. I will grab 15 and call it good. With your 28 we have a good enough spot for fire and shenanigans.

That's true, I meant to move those other "opens" and screwed up. I'll fix my picture.
