Finally brewed in my basement!

Post by Matt F »

It was awesome. No issues with CO2 or heat even with two burners going. Only issued happened when we tried to re-circulate through the immersion chiller for a HERMS setup. We need to make a different return device than our phils sparge arm as we suspected.

Hurricane burner worked great as did the superb burner under the HLT. Exhaust sucked all the bad stuff right out of the room. Whirlpool immersion chiller worked great. Can't believe how much faster it was to pump the wort to the carboys instead of gravity draining it. Once we get accustomed to brewing in there, I will start posting brew days. It gets pretty crowded in the brewery with more than two people.

P.S. I am really going to miss my SN Bigfoot once I drink it all.

I think you should give it it a few weeks before you decide if it sucked ALL the bad stuff out
