Marzen Competition - Call for Judges
Marzen Competition - Call for Judges
This is the call for judges, to judge the submissions for this quarter's club competition.
Location will be determined, once we have settled in on a date.
The potential dates are:
Tue. Nov 7, starting at or after 7 PM.
Thu. Nov 9, starting at or after 7 PM.
We can get by with 4, but six is better. It is good to have a steward or two as well.
Please post if you can judge on one or both of these dates.
If you are new to judging, Marzen can be a good style to start judging....don't be shy, there will be experienced judges participating that will help you along.
If these dates do not work....can we do sometime on Saturday (Nov 11 - evening only for me) or Sunday (Nov 12)?

Re: Marzen Competition - Call for Judges
The 7th is the only day that doesn't work for me. Otherwise I'd be able to judge or steward.

I am out now. Kid has play until 10:30. That kid was going to be watching the other kids. I stuck at home.

We will meet at the Clock House Brewery (Black Sheep Club) at 7:30 PM.
I'll bring the scoresheets, beer, sample glasses, and pencils.
Clock House is expecting us and will set us up in the Back.
Judges for tonight are Travis K., Eric B., Mark J., Dan W., Brian H., Josh P., Terry A. and me-self.
I might try to get one or two more before tonight.

Re: Marzen Competition - Call for Judges
Judging of the 5 Marzen entries has been completed.
A big thank you to our judging panel of Eric B., Terry A., Mark J., Josh P., Brian H., and Travis K. Thank you gentlemen for judging - I think you did very good work last night.
Congratulations to the contestants: Pat M., Tony B., Randy C., Mike H., and Tom T. ....once again the club has shown that it has upped its game on brewing.....all of the beers submitted were good solid beers.
The results of this competition will be announced at next week's membership meeting and will be immediately followed by the presentation of the club's Brewer of the Year tap handle.
Next turn-in will be in January.....so keep on brew'n; 2018 is a whole new ballgame.

I'm not used to seeing another "Pat M.". I got confused for just a minute.
