Living @ LBB in January

Lion Bridge released their calendar for barrel-aged January - holy cow!!

Should probably just get my mail delivered there, as I'll be spending most of January there!

I'll be there when the doors open today, not sure how long I'm staying. Hope to see some familiar faces.

Great start to Barrel-Aged January! Quinton even broke out a 4 yr old Wheat Wine to share! Had held up well.

Back again today for the EisMild.

Ding, Ding, Ding - Round 3 - Firkin of XXXX Compensation with mole (chocolate, chiles, and cinnamon!) Tapping @ 3pm. I plan to be there around 4-ish for brews and dinner, then off to hockey. It's Wiener Dog Races tonight at the 1st period intermission. :D

Had a "xxxx something" on tap at Ramsey's last night. Unsure what it was, but was decidedly unimpressed by the excessive roast aromatics in it :(

Was it the XXXX Compensation or the EisMild?

The XXXX is barrel aged in bourbon and rye barrels, which I found smoother than the EisMild, which was not barrel aged and more "roasty." The Mole version of XXXX was very nice, but you had to watch out when yours came out of the firkin, because when they jostled it to tilt it up more, you got a fair amount of suspended materials.

3 Down, only 15 more beers to go!!

I forgot they open for lunch! I might have to stop over for lunch today after my replacement picobrew gets delivered.

I dont know...it just started leaking from the bottomabd throwing a bunch of error codes. They replaced it with very little hassle.
