Meeting was called to order at 8:00 pm with 26 members present.

Old Business
Name Change and Rebranding
A proposed amendment to the club constitution was presented for its first reading. The full text of the amendment is posted to the club forum. The proposed amendment will be read a second time at the April meeting with the intent that a vote to adopt the amendment be taken at that meeting.
Facebook page has been updated with the new name.
The next step is to begin getting graphic design work underway.
Plan is to have legal paperwork, brand strategy and graphics completed in time for a public relaunch coordinated with the Benz Beer Festival in May.

Wort Rally with Lion Bridge Brewing
Daryl was proud to announce that our wort can be an AHA sanctioned event if we follow certain rules with respect to advertising, openness to all, and fairness of judging. Consensus of the cabinet was to proceed with making this a sanctioned event.

Decided to request Compensation wort.
Decided on pricing: 10 gallons and up to 2 entries for $35 or 5 gallons and one entry for $25. Registrants can also opt to purchase 5-gallon buckets (with lids) for $5 each to save travel time.

“Bunged” Competition
Theme for this year is no hops.
Turn-in for judging will be at the September General Meeting.
Feature and People’s Choice will be at the September Happy Hour at Lion Bridge Brewing.
Grain Order
Order has been received. If you haven’t yet picked up your grain, Matt Frankin has it.
Benz Festival
Will be held the Saturday before Mother’s Day (May 12) again this year.
Invitation to participate began at the February General meeting and should continue through April.
McCuskers Mad Mead Melee
Turn in was at the March general meeting
Call for judges is out. Please contact Daryl McCall or Pat McCusker to participate as a judge
Technical/Educational Presentations
Pat McCusker led a successful mead judging tutorial on February 6.
Please submit ideas for topics or volunteer to make a presentation
Nominated topics include sanitization techniques and yeast propagation and starter techniques.
New Business
Lager Lympics
Will be held June 9, likely again at the NewBo market.
Invitations to participate should begin at the March general meeting.
Iowa Brewing Company ProAm Entries
Just bring your favorite homebrew.
Invitation too late to be much involved this year.
Dates TBD. Watch social media for further information or stop in a IBC to ask directly (and have a beer).
Linn County Fair Homebrew Competition
Fair will be in late June
