Should we setup a email listserv?

We're looking at setting up an email list for CRBS. Several members have expressed interest, so I'd like to gauge whether enough people would use or prefer it as a communications option. If you'd like to see it in action, I've set up one through groups.io for testing. You can join the list either my sending an email to main+subscribe@crbs.groups.io or with your browser at https://crbs.groups.io/g/main.

The groups.io setup gives subscribers a lot of control over what emails they get and how frequently. It uses #hashtags which allow you to filter out topics you're not interested or search the archives for ones you want. What I propose is that we have an open to the public list (Main), a sub-list for club members only, and third for board members. We can add sub-lists later if we want to such as for committees. Feel free to share your comments and pros/cons.
