The big party December 8th

Post by carrisr »

Our annual Holiday/End of the Year bash will be December 8th at Thew Brewing starting around 7pm. This is a private party for club members. We are allowed to bring bottles (both commercial and homebrew) to share. We also bring food to share and in the past members have brought amazing dishes! This is an event you don't want to miss! There is also an post on the FB private page, so feel free to post if/what food you want to bring here or over there. Not required, but it helps people plan.

I will be bringing an assortment of smoked fish and whales. Wait, that doesn’t sound right. Whales and smoked fish? Smoked fish and an assortment of whales? I don’t know, you get the point.

Nduja* and whales.

* Not the head-cheese version. I'll leave that to someone else.

A whale siting! Looking to fill out some verticals. Here's what I have:

Bigfoot: 2011, '13 & '14 (Anyone got any 2012? Would be nice if someone has '15, '16 and '17!!)

KBS: 2015, '17 & and an unmarked year - let's just call it 2014 for Sh!ts & Giggles. (Anyone got any 2016?)

BCS: 2011, '12 & '13. I also have a 2010, but it's the Barleywine (oh snap!) Adds on from 2014 to now would be excellent!

"Ah, shit yeah, it's gonna be live!"

I'll buy a pint from the bar (gotta show the house some love!) for the first 3 people who can name the song & artist this lyric came from? Tell me in person at the party - no public disclosures, please.

Nice lineup!
I think I have some ‘15 Bigfoot to add and some ‘14 BCBS
I’m also bringing ‘15, ‘16, ‘17, and ‘18 Backwoods Bastard for a fun little vertical

Leaning toward Italian Beef. I might be able to fill in holes in the Bigfoot line up.

EPIC!! Thanks to all who contributed to the fun verticals of Big Foot and BCS. A special shout-out to Josh for the 42 YO Point!!

For the curious - the song lyric is from Digital Underground's "If it wasn't for the rappin', we'd be mackin'!" Randy was the only winner of the challenge.
