Cedar Rapids Brewing Society

Hello everyone. We are ready to do our annual grain order. As discussed at the January meeting, we are looking to place the order after the February meeting. We are working same as last year with Iowa Brewing Company. They use Country Malt Group as their supplier. I have attached a copy of the most recent pricing sheet. Shipping will be $3 per sack of grain. Feel free to order anything on the sheet. I will check with Mike at IBC if something you order is not going to work or has a hazmat charge or something, and get back to you if there is an issue or significant cost increase.

We are planning to take delivery in early March. I will post here and announce on Facebook when grain is ready to pickup. You need to make best efforts to pick up your grain the day it is ready. If you cannot pickup that day please make arrangements with another member or PM me on this forum. We want to minimize the amount of grain left to be hauled off by just a few people and have to store somewhere.

To participate, you must have your dues paid! To order, just simply comment with what you would like to order. Try to keep this thread cleared up from questions, etc., and use other thread for that. There is another thread going about splitting bags and such if you want. Please include your actual name so we know who is who. Payment is due when you order and can be paid at February meeting. You can pay the club cash, check, and PayPal is also OK. Order Away!

For those new to the club, we do this typically once per year. It is an opportunity to purchase bulk grain at producer prices. Many clubs organize bulk base malt grain purchases for their members and I like to think it is a nice benefit of club membership.

Tony I am not sure if there is a Hazardous materials charge for PBW. It so we will add it in. Otherwise we will go with just a $3 shipping charge in place of the $15.

Mark, the Pure Washington is special order and think we had trouble with that before. Any chance you want GW-2ROW25 Premium 2-Row for $33.55/sack? We can check on Pure Washington though. Just looking at a back up plan.
