March Happy Hour

Post by twiggy2164 »

This months Happy Hour is Sunday, March 31st.

We will be pouring from 3 PM to 5 PM.

What is needed:

1) Volunteer workers; 2 minimum, but 3-4 would be good

2) Beer contributions; in bottles and/or growlers; kegs are acceptable but you will need to bring everything you need to dispense from your keg/kegs and containers/coolers to keep your brews cold. We will pour for at least two hours, and in 2 oz samples; so we will not need tons of beer, but it is nice to have 4-6+ varieties that we could offer. And, if you like, we can go past 5 PM, but that will be up to the volunteers hosting the Happy Hour.

You can sign-up here by responding to this post, to volunteer your time and/or beer.

Let's meet at LB around 2:30 PM to set-up and be ready to go at 3 PM.

This is a great opportunity to pour your brews and get feedback from like minded people who enjoy craft beer.

Feel free to e-mail (twiggy2164@gmail.com) or PM me with questions/concerns/suggestions

I can bring some beer to pour at Happy Hour. Although I may have to leave early to go to a Kernels Host Family meeting. I will leave my beer if someone can pour it while I am gone. I will come back after the meeting is over to get my bottles.

Here is what I can bring:

Hefeweizen and a Cherry Limeade Hefeweizen

Black Lager

Amber Ale

IPA

OK, I'm in with beverages. Tasted the 2 barrel-aged brews from January and they are still swillable, so bringing the Irish Coffee and the Drunk Nutella again - I PROMISE for the last time!

I'm also bringing what I'm calling the "Braggot experiment." Pat was kind to gift me with some of his cranberry melomel, which I am planning to blend with my cranberry gruitt into a braggot. I am bringing 2 samples of different blends to try and looking for feedback on which is preferable - mostly gruitt or mostly melomel?? The winner will become the blend thatI plan to bring to the Benz festival.

There will be plenty of us there, we can pour for you if you need to leave for awhile. If you don’t make it back I can take your bottles and keep em safe till I see you again.
