Since I sold my old chiller to Terry I was able to get a new chiller that fit my needs better. With my old chiller the top 1/3 of the coils were not submerged when doing smaller 6-7.5 gallon batches in my kettle. The neck was also not tall enough to clear the kettle so it sat in the wort at an angle and not flat on the bottom. It still worked really well but I have been moving towards ideal in my brewery every chance I get lately. So I purchased what seems to be one of the nicest immersion wort chillers available from Jaded Brewing-The Hydra. The quality of the construction is very impressive. It fits my 20 gallon Stout kettle perfectly. I can't wait to use it!

Re: New Chiller-Jaded Hydra Immersion Chiller
You have impeccable timing, almost pulled the plug on an Exchilerator counter flow chiller this morning.
Currently have a double ribcage 60/40 split of 50ft copper IC, it chills 11 gallons of boiling wort 2 pitching temp in roughly 10 to 15 minutes depending on groundwater temperature, it does6 gallons in the same amount of time because like you stated a third of the coils are not in the liquid. I've been looking to upgrade to just get there faster.
I'll hold off on my purchase until you post a review

That looks awesome, if it works as fast as it’s supposed to it should be amazing!
