North Liberty closing in a few months...
Hi everyone,
It is time for some bummer news, but we wanted everyone to be informed before the realty company stops by our North Liberty location to put up signs.
We have had a very difficult couple of years at our North Liberty location, and it is with sad hearts that we are announcing we will be permanently closing our North Liberty location within the next few months.
With closing North Liberty, we will be able to consolidate our stock and the plan is to build up our inventory to be a much more robust shop at our home base in Marion. Of course, all gift cards will still be honored in Marion even after North Liberty is closed. As long as we are around, we will honor all our commitments to our home brewers and wine makers.
We know that this will upset our long time North Liberty customers, but we want you to know that we are doing everything we can to sustain our viability in a very down time in the home brew culture, and are working through several ideas to help our North Liberty and Iowa City customers to continue brewing and making wine but still being able to shop local if they choose to do so.
We are looking at this as a positive thing--we'll still be here, kicking out great supplies and ingredients all here locally. We are one of only a few home brew shops left in the state, and our goal is to ensure we'll be here for the long haul. "These times, they are a-changin..." and we are streamlining our operations to be around for a long time to come.
Over the next couple months you'll likely see us starting to sell off equipment and store fixtures such as shelving, refrigerators, scales, etc. If you are in need of any of these items, please let us know as we would love to know our shop stuff is going into homes and businesses where they'll be well utilized and cared for.
Thank you all for your business, time, and consideration as we move into this new reality. It will take some getting used to, but we're looking forward to jam-packing Marion with everything you might need to brew or make wine into the new decade.
Thanks again, and we'll talk soon!
