Recruitment is now closed....we have our line-up of brewers.

This Topic is to be used exclusively for signing up brewers to participate for the coming Barrel Aged January 2021.

For details on the project, and to discuss the project, please use the following post thread: https://cedarrapidsbrewingsociety.org/p ... f=6&t=4507.

For those of you who wish to brew for this year's communal brew, please respond to this post stating how many gallons you will contribute.

At this point, let's keep it at a 5 gallon minimum - but feel free to volunteer to make 10 gallons. However, we will mange 10 gallon contributions such that we can maximize the number of participating members. That will allow up to 12 brewers to participate (we are targeting 60 gallons total).

Brewers List:

Daryl McCall (5 gallons)*
Karl Hoech (10 gallons)*
Ryan Stevens (10 gallons)*
Mike Hora (10 gallons)*
Mike Barshis (5 gallons)*
Pat McCullough (5 gallons)*
Andrew Muxen and Logan Loeb (10 gallons)*
Divesh Lakhi (5 gallons)*

We will continue to take brewers until this post reports the the recruitment has closed. We will move 5 gallons around to allow more members to participate. But I expect we will finalize the numbers by Tuesday, September 8 - if there are any 5-gallons slot remaining.

*Ingredients have been distributed to this brewer.

There are benefits to volunteering to be the keeper of the club barrel. (You lucky &@*#&@!)

I'm looking forward to tasting it.

Ok, the Porter is out of the barrel and the RIS is in (at least most of it....still a couple of batches finishing up).

We would like to bottle up about a case and a half or so of Bombers of the barrel-aged Porter, to lay down for future pours and to support other Club activities.

If you're like me, you always have quite a few bottles laying around; and if you are kegging, you may not use them again.....if that is the case, would you consider donating a some 22 oz bombers to the cause.

If so, please post here and we can keep track of the count.

Cheers,
Daryl
