It's time to thin out my raspberry patch.
Anyone that is interested in bringing a shovel and a bucket (or two) would be welcome to take some plants home to start their own patch.
Some will be mature enough, that if you successful transplant them, and depending on how many plants you take, you might get a good taste of what is in store for the future.
I believe this variety is Heritage...I obtained them from Marilyn's Dad - he grew them in Northern Ohio, Milan,Ohio. The birthplace of Thomas Edison and where Marilyn grew up.
Drop a post here if you want to come out and get some plants.

I will say these are some hardy plants. I believe I picked some up from D two full seasons ago, between the birds, rabbits and my wife running the mower too close, I managed to keep them trimmed to about a 3 inch height the first season. Last year I mulched preventing the biggest offender, they grew 4-5 feet just last year with multiple stalks. Fruit is great as expected but I am hopeful with a better start, this year will produce a better crop for eating/ brewing.
