Iowa Craft Beer Bash at Millstream

Post by diveshlakhi »

Millstream has invited us to participate at their beer festival on September 4th. Is there any interest? Personally I would like to go.

That's before our next Club meeting (16th). See if you can stall her until the 17th? The event is 3 months out, why such a long lead time for the RSVP?

They're fine with a June 17th RSVP. They said they would start advertising after this and include our club name in their advertisements.

Here is an excerpt from the email I received from Susan.

For nearly 20 years, Millstream Brewing Co. has hosted the Iowa Craft Beer Bash on Labor Day Sunday - this year September 4th. We have over 50 breweries that set up in our backyard of the brewery located at 835 48th Avenue, Amana. It’s a great opportunity for breweries to showcase their brews to 1,000+ beer lovers - for you - a great opportunity to promote your club. We thought it would be fun to invite a couple of home brew clubs to our event this year.
This is a one session event from 12 - 4 pm with the first hour for VIPs. Load-in is from 9 am - 11:45 am. We will have volunteers at check-in to help you unload.

We will provide a table, ice, tasting glasses for your crew and a tent, if needed. If you need a tent, please let me know so we can reserve one for you.

RSVP by June 15th to this email so we can include your brewery in ticket promotion for the 2022 Iowa Craft Beer Bash.

Theresa is no longer an owner of Millstream Brewing so they cooler now. Millstream Brau Haus is separate ownership from the brewery and I think she may still be in on that venture.

I can't make that one. I will be at my 4th night in a row of Phish in Denver.

Tom and Teresa also just sold the Brauhaus, so once they help the new owners transition over, they will be officially retired.

I have a couple of beers left over from our fest I can send with someone to Amana. Not sure if you want kegs with smaller amounts or not. There's probably a gallon maybe a bit more. I entered them into the app, but if you don't want to bother with them that's fine too.

Anyone? I need to drop these off with someone, probably Thursday evening, if you want these to take. If I don't hear back I guess I won't bother.

What time do we want to meet up there to set up? 10:30am?

Worked on the keg of Chunga's Revenge and got it to pour regularly again. Not sure what the issue was, but cleaning the dip tube and replacing the poppet and o-ring on the Out line, got things working again. So, I'm going to add this beer back into the app for Amana on Sunday.
