Slappy Brewery fully operational in my basement!

Post by Matt F »

Slappy brewery has been operational for half a year now. I must say I like having the brewery running. I think I will like it even more this winter. As with any homebrewer, there are many upgrades to come. It also may change if my brewing buddy Larry moves out of the area. If you want to see it running sometime, check the “Who’s Brewing” section as I usually post when I am going to brew. Of course, I only give about a days notice. It runs similar to a More Beer sculpture with the mashtun above the HLT. Two burners do the heating, a 60k btu Hurricane and 35k btu superb. The typical March pump moves the wort around. Old furnace fans make the air move. There is an exhaust and an air intake. My first upgrade will be modifying the stand to have a lower overall height.
