New Restaurant in Iowa City with Belgian's on Draft

John's Grocery welcomes Orchard Green to the Iowa City beer scene.

Stop by Orchard Green, Iowa City's newest restaurant and lounge, for a grand opening celebration and fundraiser to benefit The University of Iowa's Hancher Auditorium, Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, and College of Public Health.

The event will be held this Thursday, September 17th, 2009 at six in the evening until ten.

Location: 521 Gilbert Street, Iowa City (valet parking on Maiden Lane)

Cost: $30 donation

Food and drink: Appetizers, Wine, Cocktails and Belgian Beers

St. Bernardus ABT 12
Triple Karmeliete

Gulden Draak
Weihenstephaner Korbinian Dopple Bock
Weihenstephaner Vitus Weizen Bock
John's Wit

Note: All beer is served in the appropriate glass for the style.

This is right next door to Old Cap Brewhouse. Brian, when are we going to check this out?

I just looked at some pics on Facebook for the Orchard Green and they must have taken over the Old Cap Brewhouse. I hope they can make a go of it. Dave
