Trippel
I don't have it written down, but the Jamil Show is a good source for all beers styles. His podcasts are on the Brewing Network. They goof around a lot but once you sift through there is some good information and they will give a recipe.

Steeping Aromatic malt
The recipe for triple directs me to steep the .25 lb of aromatic malt
I don't know if that is the same as mashing, or if its like steeping tea, then in how much and how hot water. Anyone have experience with this?

Re: Steeping Aromatic malt
Are you sure he said to steep it? I listen to his show and he gives directions for both extract and all grain. Usually, on the all grain versions you mash everything.jjbuck wrote:The recipe for triple directs me to steep the .25 lb of aromatic malt

The only difference in the steep Vs. Mash is that you will not extract as much sugars on steeping.
