Featuring the Sam Adams Imperial line. If it's not packed to the gills I'll see you there.

I'm toying with the idea of going as well. You going down with the police? or running solo. I agree, if its packed, I'll skip.. no point in waiting in the lunch line for a snack.

For ten bucks, I'd just buy a pack of the imp. stout and go sit in the parking lot and tailgate.

I'm hoping the "ewww, dark beer" factor kicks in, and all the college students skip for a change.  I might or might not be there.

Not bad.  Lines were a bit long at times.  They ran out of the Sam Adams imperials by the end.  The  Lindemans gueze was pretty good too (if you like gueze).

Big T, Tony, Tom, and I were there from the club.  "Talked up" the club to some homebrewers while we were there.

It was a fairly typical Benz event, some decent brews, better food than brew probably. They had things situated a little quirky and really needed a third table to split the lines up since you would have one guy pouring 9 different beers.

The imp. White from Sam Adams had to be a very suprising hit in my book, it was probably the best beer there(as far as the tasting goes) Of course it depends on your taste.

As usual there was more confusion at the register at Benz, this isn't the first time. Very frustrating, a 45.59 bottle of scotch rang up as 79.99, of course unlike the competitors they would not honor the lower price. So back on the shelf it went.

On top of that I would of liked to have purchased some of the Sammy imperial series and they served it all, so you could taste it but not buy it?????? Guess I thought they were trying to tempt us all to buy some? go figure.

Did I pick the right profile pic or what?? One bad ass pimp chimp!!

Tasting was fun. I was impressed with the number of beers served, but have to agree with T, a 3rd table would have helped with the line situation. And a hearty second on the yummy snacks! I'd pay the ten spot just for the food!!

My fav of the night was the Lindemans Gueze. I usually find that style too sour, but this one has a very nice balance.
