Just curious who is hosting the next brew club meeting? Also, what are we doing during this meeting? I just thought that I would start the dialog.

I had volunteered for the May meeting after cancelling on the April meeting. If anyone is allergic to dogs, let me know - we have 3 hairy ones with lots of dander - hopefully we can be outside on the patio/deck. 3719 Tanager Dr NE Cedar Rapids - From Kennedy H.S. go south on Wenig to Brookland Turn right and go up the hill to a T intersection on the left (Tanager) go down about 4 houses and I'm the green house on the right. Not sure of any styles for this meeting? From recent brewing I have 2 Saisons, a Belgian Wit and a Biere de Garde. I also have a 2006 Darklord and a Rabid Rabbit Saison from a recent visit to Three Floyds....although my wife Abby would like to join us and would appreciate an Extreme Hop/IPA theme...

I was planning on the 18th - assuming we are meeting the 3rd week of the month. 7 pm. I would be open to the 25th as well if that makes any difference to anyone. Pete - your wife is more than welcome - same for everyone else.

Just a reminder - club meeting tomorrow night, May 18th, 7pm at my house - see directions posted earlier in this post. If the style is up to me I would say Belgian Farmhouse ales - I have 3 saisons and a Beire de Garde. Planning on BBQ pork loin, smoked duck and grilled chicken with assorted cheeses and bread. RSVP if you can so I have an idea how much food to have ready.

Mark,
Thanks for hosting this event. My wife and I will attend. I will bring Belgium Wit. I also am a pretty good baker, and would like to bring the bread. If that is OK, please respond this evening and I will get it started. I will also bring a dessert for 12 servings. Chocolate.

David-
Bread and dessert sound great - I also have a Belgian wit, so we can compare.

Just a clarification in case I've caused any confusion - this is a normal meeting, not a BBQ or potluck - I just have some home cooked meats for the standard meat and cheese tray. Spouses are welcome - my wife will be searching desperately for anything hoppy. RSVPs would be helpful in planning the food.

I plan to be there. I have a special hoppy beer from Belgium, yes Belgium that uses a lot of American Hops. I have a Wit but it is still in the secondary and won't be kegged until this weekend.

I unfortunately will not be able to attend. My wife is out of town and I need to be with my two lovely daughters this evening. I wish I could attend, it sounds like it will be great meeting.
Prost and drink one for me.

Dave, maybe you could bring over some of our hoppy pale ale. I don't think you have the Wit kegged yet anyway do you?

By the time you get this RSVP I'll most likely already be there! Sorry for the late response.
