Meeting Minutes from 3/18/2010 Meeting
Request for Roll Call
o Sheet was filled out that included all the information, need to know how big the group is for future meeting capacity
o Sheet included Name, address, E-mail, and Phone number.
o All information will be kept confidential this is for club purposes only for the distribution of information.
Name tags
o Name tags have not been completed as of yet.
o This will make it easier to distinguish people and identify them from there user name on the forums.
o Big ‘T’ called out for “BaronVonHawkeye” as an example, and who he was, reply was “Bill”, but Bill was not at this meeting.
o Please go to web site and provide information if you have not already.
o Club leadership will transport badges to meetings and events and distribute.
Pyment judging
o Kurt is officially hosting the judging at his home on Sunday. All people who offered to aid in this should go to forums for information and coordination.
o There were 4 entries into the Pyment competition.
Next club competition
o The next club competition will be for category 9D: Irish Red Ale.
o Competition is tentatively sometime in May to allow for brewing of Irish Red.
o If you haven’t brewed yet, you need to get this done.
o Specific date has not been resolved yet.
o This competition will be held a Big ‘T’s’ house in May.
o Specific date of Irish Red Ale competition has not been established yet.
Beer Camp
o Start thinking about when you are available for Beer Camp this year.
o Spot is near central ridge city (peniken park) about 20 minutes from town.
o Gravel road to camp site very secluded and on a gravel road.
o Discussion on having 2 this year.
o May was discussed as a month to do this.
Millstream bottling party
o Teresa from Millstream contacted us to see if anyone was interested in participating in Millstream bottling party.
o Event is April 3rd, 2010.
o Making annual Doplebock in 22 oz bottle.
o Free beer during event and one to take home with you.
o Bring a capper if you have one.
o One person showed interest.
New Member
o Justin showed up to meeting warm welcome extended.
o Comments on how Randy was soon to be forum poster of the year.
Independence Brew-BBQ
o Still gather more information.
o Only distributors currently this would be a good way in.
o All proceeds except for seed money goes to Food Bank.
o 4 people expressed interest in brewing for the event.
o Event is in August (weekend before IFOB).
