I'm tempted to go for the Hopslam. Two Hearted was good if I remember correctly, and that price is a bit lower than I paid in Illinois I think. Expedition Stout is pretty good but a little pricey. The price on Kalamazoo doesn't look bad and that's pretty darn drinkable.

If anyone is going to the late night sale, would like to give you some money to pick me up a couple of bottles of stuff, at worst I could go with you pending wifes rage.

If I go I could pick you up some Grain Belt. They have a great price on it.

I just called down to John's and talked to Andy, as I really want to get some Hopslam but would be pissed to find out they only have a case of it...

They are doing the Hopslam and the ones from Peacetree from Keg into growlers. They only have one keg of Hopslam, but he felt that everyone who shows up should be able to get some.

He also said that the Peacetree (especially the IPA) are very good and worth getting. So I might grab some too.

They don't have a lot of the Two Hearted, and expect that will sell out. They don't expect to sell as much of the Consecration and Expedition.

I didn't ask about the Grainbelt, so if you are serious about that you can call.

I do plan on going down. I'll probably try to be there a bit early.

I am still on the fence for this one. A growler of Hopslam is quite tempting. It will be a game time decision.

I might be interested. That is after the wife goes to be. Could put my "sneakers" and go. Plus believe it or not I have not made it to John's yet and lived here 3 years. I know I am a disappointment.

Bill and Randy, were you able to get what you were after last night? They gave one of us a miss-labeled growler of Hopslam that was actually a Peacetree beer! I didn't get a chance to try any of the Peacetree suff. Did either of you try any?

Matt,
Wow, I guess I'm not sure. They gave me a growler labeled as Hopslam too but I've not opened it yet to taste it. At $19 for a growler it better be the right stuff!

I did get to try the Peacetree Belgian IPA which was not bad, and the Rye Porter which was tasted a bit odd. It wasn't bad, but not to my tastes I guess.

I also grabbed a 6 of Two Hearted.

There will be an HS on top of the lid if it is a Hopslam.

In that case, yes it looks like I get the right thing.

BTW, I was there until about 12:20. They ran out of Hopslam right before I left.

And there's nothing like a trip to IC to make me feel REALLY OLD!!! Is it me or do college kids get younger every year?

I grabbed a growler of HopSlam (haven't opened it yet) and a sixer of Expedition. I tried the Peace Tree IPA and it was ok. I thought there could have been some more body to it, but that was my personal opinion.

I'm thinking of heading down this evening to see if there's anything interesting left. If anyone wants to tag along, let me know.
