Belgian Dark Strong

I bottled a Belgian Dark Strong ale about two weeks ago, and while still quite young I'm naturally curious as to how it turned out. The trouble is, I have nothing to compare to. Could anyone suggest a commercial Dark Strong that I could use as a comparison?

St. Bernardus Abt 12 available at Benz and Johns. Not sure if it is at any of the Hy-Vee's around here. Was on tap at Red's last time I was there and also a few other restaurants in IC. It is one of my favorite beers.

Swing down to Reds in NL and get a glass of Abt 12, I always do. Its my fav down there. Dinner isn’t too shabby either, and if its nice they have a killer fire pit outside.

Try the Hy-Vee in Marion, they have the best selection of any of the Hy-Vee's in the area.

What? Edgewood and 100 has a bigger selection, last I checked. Oakland road and Collins road Hy-Vee stores both suck. I try to avoid Marion in general.

Recently, the Oakland road has a much larger selection of beer than they used to.  Still not like Edgewood or Marion, but much improved.

As far as the Belgian selection, Jeremy might be right about Marion being better.

Hey, I am all for avoiding Marion if possible, however, they do have a good selection of beers in that store.

I have a bottle of the 12 in my fridge right now. If you'd like, I'd be happy to bring it to share Saturday. Just let me know.
