IA State Fair

Does anyone enter beers at the State Fair? I'm just wondering what that experience is like and if it might be worth it.

I haven't because I heard you don't get feedback. Then last year I heard you do get feedback so I might this year.

I have several times. You always get feedback. Some of it is better than others. It's not a great competition, but it's the state fair.

Anybody have any more details about entering in the state fair? I saw that the entry deadline was today. I'm thinking about entering a couple beers.

Dave,
I went ahead and signed up for 2 entries. You don't have to specify what categories yet. It looks like you just need to say how many you want to enter and then pay $3.50 per entry. They will mail us tags for the entries, and then need to be either sent to them by noon on the 23rd or in person between 2-4pm the 24th.

Did anyone else decide to enter? Beers need to be delivered by Saturday. If anyone else is entering we could combine a package or make a road trip on Saturday.

I know Dave Rhinehart did so you may want to send him an email or PM or something and see if he is. Plus you may want to check with the fair, not sure if they would mind entries from different contestants coming in a single package or not.

Yup, I'm entering a couple beers in the fair. I'll be dropping them off on Saturday. I can drop your beers off too if you'd like.
