Guy's terribly sorry about these taking so long, with the tech meeting and the NHC to get ready, and work it was hard to find time. Anyway here are the meeting minutes from the May Meeting.
May 20th, 2010 Meeting
General announcements
• Request for dues payment
• Email needs to go out to those who signed up on the list at Benz Fest welcoming them to the club and encouraging attendance at next meeting.
• Please sign up on the sign up sheet with all relevant information if you are new.
New Members
• Welcomed the new guys who found us at Benz Fest
• Club discussion for new people about Millstream grain order (anything in Briess catalog, cheap shipping)
• Travis welcomed new members again to the club (President).
Bulk Orders
• Discussion about a group hop purchase
• Discussion about North Country Malt bulk order (Minimum ½ pallet(20 bags) for cheap shipping)
------> More expensive then Millstream order, however, much cheaper then Northern Brewer.
Tech Meeting
• Meetings are the 1st Wed of every month
• Cudo’s given to CJ for hosting Tech Meeting (1st one was a grain tasting).
Competitions
• Call for judges for upcoming Irish Red Competition.
• Next Club competition is in August for American Brown style (ex/ Moose drool).
• Place Irish Red for Judging on the back table
Benz Beer Fest & other upcoming events
• Benz gave us a donation for our participation in event.
• We brought 50 gallons to Benz and cleaned out.
• Thank you all for your participation in the Benz festival.
• Discussion on upcoming Independence Brew-B-Q and Iowa Festival of Beers
• Call for raise of hands for all who attended Benz Fest.
------> Brian Anderson raised hand.
------> CJ called him out for serving at another booth.
• Travis talked with the guys from Independence Brew-B-Q, they attended the Benz Fest
------> They want to pull in home brew clubs and turn it into a competition.
------> This would most likely be a people’s choice type of competition.
• Discussion about Millstream Iowa Festival of beers
------> We will be contacting millstream to see if we can get more beer bringing members in for free.
Beer Camp
• One group rate
• Non-electrical sites
• Bill drank a little too much last time
• Matt, is planning this event, please contact Matt Franklin with any questions
• Show of hands held for interest in the event
• Discussion about having it at Randy’s or Pelican Ridge
• This is open to families however, children are not recommended due to adult nature of the event
Upcoming Meetings
• June meeting postponed to June 24th due to NHC being held the Thursday of next scheduled meeting.
• Request for member to hold June meeting Jeremy offered if no one else does look out for thread.

Badges
• Request for member to assist in generating badges.
• Jim Potts offered to do it.

• Request for some kind of food competition for upcoming meeting

• Tom showed the components he bought for building a ferm wrap.
------> Materials are available at reptile supply shops
------> Can build about for ½ the price.
------> Tom bought from Bean town in Washington $3.17 a foot for the material plus wiring and controller.
