I need to have a couple of beers ready in five weeks. I am thinking I will do a hefe, as they finish fast. Any ideas for my second style? This is for the hockey party. I have an IPA, and maybe a coffee brown.

I have not done a bitter in a while, that is a good idea. Good for tailgating too.

Here are my thoughts on stuff that could be done in 5 weeks.

Certain IPA & Pale ales (Mainly ones that are heavily dry hopped)
Wheat beers (Almost all)
Amber Ale
Cream Ale
Blonde Ale
Kolsch
Bitters
Irish Red Ale
Mild
Fruit Beers

I would think anything that doesn't have to be lagered or aged (high gravity) should be done in 5 weeks. A healthy pitch of yeast should finish in 2 weeks on something 8% and under. A week - 10 days to carb, you got beer.
