Hope everyone that went had a good time. Below is the email I got on the People's Choice.

First, thanks for participating! The Beer Nuts are great fun.

Here is how the voting went on the home brews:
#1 Winnie's Night Out
#2 Helles - from CRAZE
#3 Java Stout
Tie for #4 Happy Holstein Ale and Grape Escape
Tie for #5 Ardent Monk Tripel and wHOPsie Wheat

The #1 commercial beer was Vermont Cider Co - Woodchuck Amber. The Founder's beers were good - their Centenial IPA and Porter were popular. Shiner Oktoberfest rated well too. Millstream's Iowa Pale Ale did well.

I will be writing an article for our local paper - I will forward that to you when it gets done.

Thanks again - next year we are looking at the 4th Saturday in August - Aug. 24.

That's two years in a row that John Eikenberry has had the most popular beer. And I agree with the popular choice, that beer was fantastic. Got any more John?

And the Beer Nuts once again had a very good showing, six of the seven most popular beers. It was a very nice line-up.

I think that he was calling in favors, as we had lots of folks coming up to the bar and asking for his beers by name (I want one of John's beers. What beer did John bring?)

Another good showing for the Club. The folks from CRAZE did a nice job, but with only 4 beers, it was hard to compete with our 12!

Well...it helps working in town and running into a bunch of my former patients. They all asked if I brought beer and I told them the three I brought. I agree with all of the choices except the helles from CRAZE. I talked to the brewer and he had no idea how to make a lager. He fermented it at 64 degrees. It was NOT a clean malty lager! Anywhoooo...it was another fun event. Sorry to all there about my cider bottle missle( no it did not shoot someone's eye out) but did startle a bunch of mellow homebrewers!! Really enjoyed Founders Old Curmudgeon...my first old ale experience but definitely not my last. Of course the Nuts beers were the best!! We always have damn good beer!

P.S. No I am out of Winnie's Night Out but being that it was so popular I do believe I will add it to my brewing schedule this winter. I can shell out the recipe if anyone's interested. Look in recipe section soon.
