As one event fades into another ....

Time to get organized for IFB this Sunday. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the weather is as nice as Independence yesterday!

I have about a 1/2 keg of the Wheaton Beatdown left from yesterday that I'll bring along with the Oktoberfest. Believe it or not, we had a number of heavy kegs at the end of the day. A testiment to the overall quality and popularity of our beers. We didn't blow a keg all day, but a couple were pretty light at teardown.

I got the rest of the club stuff I need to get to you Tony or someone. We do have that small event Saturday, so if someone is stopping by that and will be at ia fest that would be the best way to grab it as I would like to use the club banner and sell shirts Saturday.

I think for the ones I brought, we went through about 3 1/2 gallons of each. The club RIS as well as IIPA.

That brings me to my next question, how much of the club RIS do you want me to bring to the IFOB this sunday, 1/2 keg or full, we have enough replacement beer to go into the barrel to do either. But I can bring as much or as little as you guys want me too.

We're going to have more people this Sunday and they are beer geeks, so we better bring a full 5 gal keg of the RIS. Even with me bringing the 1/2 keg of leftover Wheaten Beatdown, we're still under the 25 gal. target, as we'd always planned a full 5 gal of the RIS.

Randy, since you're doing both the New Bo thing and IFOB, maybe you could get the club box with the banner, easel, white board, et. al. from Travis and bring with you on Sunday?

Tim, we need the rest of the shirts. We had folks wanting Large yesterday and we only had a couple and ran out. Good salemanship on our part convinced folks to take other sizes, so we didn't lose the sale. I think we sold about 6 or so shirts yesterday. Not bad really, as we didn't really push hard.

Tony, just to be clear the event on Saturday will not require the club tap box, just banner, sign up sheets, biz cards, and shirts. Any beer poured will be from bottles at our own discretion.

I can take some things in my car from Saturday, but I won't have room for anything big as I'll have all my brewing gear too. Oir plan so far is to actually brew a couple of batches (Kent and I).

For Saturday, are we clear that we can even pour samples? I don't want to get nailed for open container, so unless they have permit or whatever I'm not going to risk it. Sinve the whole event isn't beer centric (we're just doing a demo) I doubt they have anything.

I can grab some of the stuff for Sunday. I have a bigger car so just about everything will fit.
That's a good point about the permits. We should maybe check on that before pouring.

If I didn't say already, I'll be bringing a half keg of Baltic Porter.

This time, it's called "Arm-ed and Dangerous."

Big T, what I meant by "club box" was not the tap box, but the tupperware tub of all our asundry stuff - easel, white board, cards, banner, etc.

As posted in the thread about Saturday, Randy can you bring the club canopy with you on Sunday, if you guys use it on Saturday?

Pottsie is bringing the tap box (once T gets you the other part he has). Are we good with the CO2 situation?

Tim, if you still want to use Kent's randall, let us know. Plus, if you're doing melon, it might work best if it's frozen and in 0.5 inch cubes.

Another reminder - byoc (bring your own chairs). There are limited food options, so bring snacks, water, etc.

I'll have the co2.
I've got the club canopy, so if people want it for Saturday, someone will need to get it from me.

Afraid I have been very un-Dude. I am ashamed to say I checked my "half" keg tonight to see if it was full enough to pull out a growler and found it was much lower than I expected. I have maybe a gallon left. :( I will bring what I have to fill a tap, but it may blow fast. I can pay full price for my ticket to put towards the pool of folks that brought beer.

I'm not going to be pouring beer either. I tried mine last night and it has an off flavor. I might bring a couple bottles along to try and figure out what's wrong.
