Have we announced the judging turn-in date?

I believe that first Friday in June was the judging drop off date

Yeah, I know it's been talked about, but I want to make sure we get it written down somewhere.

Just to be clear - Wort Rally beers for judging will be dropped off on Friday, June 1st? That seems early for turn-in, if we're not doing the Peoples Choice pouring until the 24th?
Update on my brew: Wort soured nicely (pH = 3.3) and is still fermenting - almost done.

For the folks making IPA its late, especially for the tasting event!

And thus the challenge to judge beers appropriately; especially with a wort rally. Because the wort is brewed all at one time....and brewers can select styles to their liking. And as we all know, across all of the styles that exist the time from when the beer is brewed and the time it is optimal to appreciate can be measured in a few weeks or a few months.
June 1 gives everyone 6 weeks to have their beers ready. 6 weeks should be adequate (not optimum) for most brown ales, porters, stouts, etc.; and 6-weeks should not be too detrimental to the IPAs.
Judging is scheduled for Monday, June 4th and/or Tuesday, June 5th; to ensure we have the results ready and available to announce at the Tasting Event.
Yeah, we might have been able to pull of the Tasting Event for the end of May, we were working many other issues at the time we pulled the schedule together to think through the details to make that happen.
JUST THINKING OUT LOUD (Lessons Learned).......Next year, which I would like to see this event planned out (at least the dates settled) before we hit Thanksgiving of this year. Tweaks to expect...judging will need to be done on a Friday evening and over a weekend, to maximize the availability of certified judges.
If we start Friday, April 12, 2019 (Wort Rally - pickup)....we should be able to have entry turn-in begin on Thursday, May 16, 2019 (at our meeting) and cut it off on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 and judging begins on Friday, May 24, 2019, finish on Saturday, May 25, 2019....and the Tasting Event would be held Sunday, May 26, 2019.
This would give brewers at least 5-weeks to brew and bottle....IPAs could be a little younger....other ales would stand well to age a bit longer...I think 5-6 weeks splits the difference. Judging would occur within a week of turn-in...2-3 days if turned in on May 22, 2019. Beer that is six weeks old, should be fine for most styles that are properly bottled.
The timing would be tight, but with proper organization and planning, we could pull this off.
And, if Lion Bridge would rather have the events in June, then we move the dates out approximately 4 weeks and start in May.

I haven’t seen anything different, so bottle turn in is June 1 and tasting is June 24 at the happy hour. Sounds good to me.

Travis has agreed to collect Wort Rally turn-ins today at the Happy Hour.
I'll put out an Eventbrite e-mail to all of the participants outlining turn-in for Friday.
Cheers,
D

Will the Eventbrite link also have the entry form I would assume?

Probably not, unless I can add an attachment....I can add a URL though.
Here is the link to an editable bottle ID label (you can edit, but you can't save changes):

Any chance of dropping entries off a tad earlier in the day @ LBB on Friday?? I'd planned to arrive around 3pm when they tap the firkin (it's First Firkin Friday) - triple dry hopped Belgian IPA. Wasn't planning to stay until 6pm, only until 4:30-ish. Sunday is out for me as an alternative.

I think you could probably sweet talk the staff in storing your beer until I show up. I will be there earlier than 6 PM, but no earlier than 5 PM.
